Maintaining Calm in the Midst of the Storm

Dear valued friends, colleagues, and partners,

This week, I want to talk about something many of us may be feeling:

How do we maintain calm in the middle of uncertainty?

There are many unknowns right now.

Global tensions. Economic shifts.

During the last month, many have shared that business is not where we thought it would be.

Yet… this is where we must pause and remember:

We are resilient.

We have been through uncertainty before,

and in many ways, we have faced even greater challenges.

Think about the pandemic.

So many unknowns. So many questions.

Still… we adapted. We evolved. We moved forward.

So today, I want to remind you:

There is always a way forward.

Yes, we may need to pivot.

Yes, we may need to rethink our strategies.

But what if this moment is not working against us…

What if it is working for us?

Because growth and expansion rarely come from comfort. They come from moments that push us to think differently.

So if things are not going as planned, take a step back and ask:

What is my calling right now?

What truly excites me?

What gives me energy and purpose?

How can I bring more of that into my work and my life?

Across the tourism industry, I’ve heard many concerns.

This was expected to be a record-breaking year.

But the story is not over.

There is still so much ahead of us.

Many are simply waiting. Observing.

Making decisions at the last minute, and that’s okay.

Because in the meantime, we have a choice:

Do we let uncertainty take our peace?

Or do we anchor ourselves in the present?

For me, peace is found in the now.

Not tomorrow.

Not next month.

But right now.

What is going well in this moment?

Because when we focus too much on “what if,” we allow tomorrow to steal today’s joy.

And how many times have we worried about something, only to realize later that everything worked out?

So be present.

Trust that solutions exist.

As long as we are here, breathing, alive…

there is always a path forward.

This too shall pass, and brighter days are ahead.

As Steve Jobs said,

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.”

One day, we will understand.

The delays.

The redirections.

The “no’s.”

They were never rejections...

they were protection.

So don’t lose faith.

The energy we put into the world matters.

Choose belief. Choose trust. Choose peace.

Because the best is not behind us.

The best is still to come.

With love and gratitude,

Luisa
