Dear beloved friends, colleagues, and partners,
This week’s reflection is about the quiet miracle of releasing control.
We live in a world that constantly tells us that the more control we have, the better our outcomes will be. But in reality, holding on too tightly often creates the opposite.
It creates misalignment.
It creates stress.
It creates anxiety.
It creates fear.
Because deep down, we start believing we are the ones in control of everything.
But what if we looked at control through a different lens?
Think about this…
Have you ever been in a pool trying to grab a beach ball?
The more you swim toward it, the further it drifts away.
But the moment you stop…
The moment you relax…
With no effort at all… it finds its way back to you.
Isn’t that interesting?
Sometimes, the more we chase something, the further it moves away from us.
And sometimes, when we release… it arrives effortlessly.
The truth is, we often force things.
And in doing so, we end up exhausted.
But what if what didn’t happen… was actually protection?
What if instead of forcing outcomes, we became intentional about our desires… but detached from controlling how they unfold?
Then release it.
Trust that God… the universe… will align it for you if it is meant for you.
Then if it comes, celebrate it.
Because it was aligned.
If it doesn’t… be grateful.
Because perhaps it was protection.
As Steve Jobs once said:
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.”
Take a moment to reflect:
What is something you deeply wanted… that came effortlessly into your life?
And what is something you deeply wanted… that didn’t happen?
Now look back.
Was the “no” actually a redirection?
A protection?
A setup for something greater?
Maybe it was a relationship.
Maybe it was a job.
Maybe it was an opportunity.
And today… You can clearly see why it didn’t align.
This is your reminder:
You are allowed to desire.
You are meant to dream.
But you are not meant to control every outcome.
There is freedom in surrender.
There is peace in trust.
So today, I invite you to reflect on that one outcome you have been trying to control with all your might.
Then gently, simply let go.
You don’t have to be the pilot.
Go sit in first class.
Recline that seat.
Breathe.
Enjoy the journey.
Trust that the One guiding the plane knows exactly where you’re going.
Because you WILL arrive… exactly where you are meant to be.
With love and gratitude,
Luisa
